This bill repeals the Padlock Law, which permits the NYPD to close a residence or business housing illicit activities after two offenses and one conviction, without judicial review.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to repealing the padlock law
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Sections 10-155 and 10-156 of the administrative code of the city of New York are REPEALED.
§ 2. This local law takes effect immediately.
